Weekly QuizzesEvery week there will be a 15 minute quiz on current events, AP Stylebook & vocabulary. The first section of the test will consist of about 10 questions on current event. All questions will be drawn from the front A, business and metro sections of the New York Times. At the end of this section there will be an optional bonus question worth 20 additional points. It will be more difficult and probe deeper into a news event.
The second section will consist of sentences that need to be corrected for style based on the AP Stylebook. Students will be allowed to use the stylebook during the quiz, so don't forget to bring it to class!
The final section will consist of five vocabulary words, all verbs, which are posted by week on this site under Weekly Vocabulary.
